Sinh To Bo (Avocado Shake)

AwesomeJelly.com,. '6 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Avocados'. N.p., 2015. Web. 19 Sept. 2015.

Feature Ingredient: Avocado

These delicious green fleshed fruits grow on trees native to Mexico and Central America, with it English name being derived from its Spanish word, aguacate. Today, avocados are grown and harvested in tropical climates throughout the entire world, with many different variations including choquette, hass, lula, maluma, and several more. Avocados are known for their relatively high fat content (mono saturated fat - "healthy fats") compared to other fruits and is often used in all sorts of cuisines in the world - it has become quite a staple in some diets for providing fat (e.g. vegetarian diets). Some popular uses of avocado includes the Mexican dip guacamole (here's a recipe for it!), in drinks, soups, salads, sushi and just simply, on toast! Avocado is also commonly used for beauty purposes!

Today we'll be using avocados in a popular vietnamese avocado shake - Sinh To Bo - with the recipe being derived from here.

An absolute treat - so refreshing and creamy for a warm afternoon. This recipe is perfect for those kinds of afternoons where you're feeling a bit sluggish from the weather but also peckish - it's so easy and filling to make. All you have to do is blitz up the few ingredients in a blender and there you go - you're smoothie/shake is done! I'd probably be drinking this shake separate to a meal as it is so creamy, so I'd recommend it as a quick on-the-go snack rather than accompanying a meal. I will definitely be making this again!

Hope you all give it a try!
