Feature Ingredient: Mint
Mint is an aromatic herb typically commonly used in food products, aromatherapy, cosmetics and traditional medicine. Some culinary uses of include: mint being used on lamb dishes in Middle Eastern cuisine, Maghrebi mint tea, popular in the Northwest African countries, and the popular mojito drink. Its name is derived from the Latin word 'mentha', which originates from the Greek word 'minthe'. The mint family/genus is distributed all over the world, across Europe, Australia, Asia and North America, growing best in wet environments with moist soil. They are known for their tendency to spread if left unkept and therefore are sometimes considered invasive! An easy way to prevent their unwanted spread is by planting them in above ground in a tub or planting underground with a divider/bottomless container surrounding its sides.
Today we'll be using mint to make a tasty infused water, almost like a virgin strawberry mojito with the recipe being derived from here!

If I had to describe this drink in three words they would be: Refreshing, Tangy and Light. It is the perfect drink to sip on for a hot day, or just when you're feeling like a fruity pick me up. It is easy to make - add you need is to chop up the ingredients and throw them into the pitcher to "brew" into the lovely pink concoction that equates to summer. Give it a try!
